2023: Studio and Online

Update:
Although the Covid emergency has faded we do from time to time use face masks if somebody in the studio is unwell. We would ask if you are unwell to relocate your lesson time to a later time thank you.
We provide in-person music tuition on a one-to-one basis. We are also continuing to provide optional one-to-one online tuition using Zoom.
We approach health issues responsibly and of course take them seriously. Health for musicians goes beyond the mandated requirements of protection from viruses. We encourage healthy lifestyles, good food, exercise and friendly social interaction, whether at home, during music lessons, performances, rehearsals at work or in public.

- Please arrive at the actual time of your lesson to minimise contact with other students. We attempt to keep at least a minimum distance between each person in the studio.
- Face coverings are 'acceptable' and it is up to you to decide if you prefer to use the mask in the studio.
- The studio is air-conditioned and ventilated.

Online lessons are working very well, we are continuing to upgrade our technology for Online Teaching and Learning while students report they are happy to continue with Online Lessons.
Online platforms such as Zoom allow us to share screens and our high-quality recording software using Steinberg's Cubase and Wavelab and other applications. Most if not all the services we would normally provide in the studio work just as well in an Online setting.

Many students are continuing to study online. Several students have indicated their first preference is online study. There are obvious benefits to online learning, including convenience and travel. We are 'evolving' our courses and anticipate that lessons via video links, recording and website resources will continue especially where students have fast internet connections.
